Diabetes prevention
Our Culturally Appropriate Prevention of Diabetes programme (CAPD) helps people from global majority communities in East Birmingham, who have been diagnosed by their GP as pre-diabetic, from developing diabetes. Our mix of culturally appropriate dietry advice and education and access to our exercise has been a big success. CAPD is a partnership with the NHS and Washwood Heath Primary Care Network (PCN).
If you live in the East Birmingham PCN area (in Birmingham B8) and are concerned about diabetes, ask your GP for advice.
